Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation2 International Drive Community Futures organizations are operated as not-for-profit corporations receives annual operating funding by Industry Canada. Governed by a local volunteer board of directors and staffed by professionals who encourage Entrepreneurship and the pursuit of economic opportunities, the Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation has been helping small business in the Renfrew County area since 1986. It has invested over 7 million dollars in small business and created more than 1600 jobs through loans, advisory services and the Employment Benefit Program in co-ordination with Human Resources Development Canada. County of Renfrew Economic Development Services9 International Drive Ottawa Valley Economic Development, which is a division of the Development and Property Department, has as its primary function, the promotion and delivery of Economic Development in the County of Renfrew. Programs in this regard are undertaken independently or in conjunction with lower tier development department partners or individual municipalities. The focus of these initiatives is all industrial/business sectors within the County.
